Large ½ Lb. Pet Patty Feeding Guide: • 12 lb. pet -- 1/2 patty per day • 25 lb. pet -- 1 patty per day • 50 lb. pet -- 2 patties per day • 100 lb. pet -- 4 patties per day *1 pet patty = 1/2 Lb. Freeze-Dried Sprinkles Feeding Guide (Great for puppies & Dogs/Cats with loose or missing teeth): • 6 lb. pet = 1/3 cup (loose, not packed) (equals 0.6 oz in weight) • 12 lb. pet = 3/4 cup (loose, not packed) (equals 1.4 oz in weight) • 25 lb. pet = 1½ cup (loose, not packed) (equals 2.8 oz in weight) |
Important:
*Growing puppies/kittens and pregnant or nursing dogs/cats may require as much as 3%-4% of body weight fed per day during early growth and high bio-performance requirement periods. *If feeding a 50/50 diet (using AFS as a nutrition strengthener to some other product), please remember to reduce the volume of the other product by 50%.
The above product feeding guides are based on feeding 2%* of body weight (which equals ½ Lb., 8 oz., or 1 cup of original fresh frozen food weight for every 25 Lbs of actual body weight; for small dogs, just 2 oz. for every 6 Lbs of actual body weight). When opting to feed freeze-dried products, the above chart remains the same as only the moisture is removed in the freeze-drying process, leaving all the original nutrients. Freeze-dried products can be served dry, or rehydrated with lukewarm (NOT hot) water.
