Dear AFS,

A few years ago we bought a french bulldog from a breeder in the twin cities.  she is very nice and we were delighted with her and the breed in general.  We started showing her and were having a lot of fun winning.  Eventually we had accumulated 9 championship points and started pursuing majors.  Then we learned a lesson:  majors are harder to come by in the rarer breeds.  We had to travel farther and take greater chances, i.e. going for Breed out of the classes or B O W to get the major.

To make a long story short, we had accumulated 24 points (most of which we didn't need, but no majors.  Kissy's main problem was that she lacked just a little substance and condition.  she was competitive but lacked the edge she needed for the big win.

Well, were were in Louisville chasing those majors and getting licked by a couple from Indianapolis whose frenchies were in supper condition.  As it happened were were camped not far from them and after the show I wandered over to their rig where all their dogs were out in X-pens and I struck up a conversation with the guy.  "How do you put weight on one of these dogs?"  I asked.  "I'll show you," he said and went into his trailer.

A couple of minutes later he came out with a large bowl of this red stuff which he scooped out and dropped right onto the matting.  The dogs pounced on it and in 15 seconds there wasn't even a trace of it.

"And that'll put weight on?" I asked.
"See for yourself," he replied.  The dogs were in beautiful condition.
"Where do you get it?" I asked.
"It comes out of a place called Iola, Wisconsin" he replied.

At this point I almost had to sit down.  For the past 15 years I had been living just 7 miles from Iola and had never heard of AFS!  Upon arriving home, I called AFS, got a case and started my bitch on he diet.  Soon you could see her beginning to build muscle mass and her coat quality improved.  Within 5 weeks from her first taste of the meat, Kissy finished her championship!

Well, seeing is believing.  We saw and we believed.  Soon all our dogs were enjoying the benefits of Meat Eater Diets because when we go to a show, we like to win.
