Hot Spots & Low Weight" I purchased the Fresh Frozen and Freeze Dried meat diets as a test, then have just reordered. My dogs, both Hunting Retriever Champions, Master Hunters are field bred labrador retrievers from the top national champions in this in Northern America. My bitch, whom I just bred, had coat problems and I had to feed her up to, and sometimes more than, 5 cups a day of dry dog food, Lamb & Rice blend. Chicken did not work at all as her coat was dandruffy and she would get those very annoying hot spots even in winter. Shedding also is a problem with significant hair loss. My male, a large 80 to 85 pound dog is a Pro Trainer...and has trouble maintaining weight and body fat and muscle due partly to his constant exercise. Both of these dogs have made remarkable progress in their respective problem areas. My bitch, April's coat is shiny black satin look to it and she has gained 9 pounds, weighing in at 79-1/2 pounds at the vets office the first of the month. Yukon, my male, was loosing weight at the Pro's kennel and I was considering pulling him and bringing him home; however, in the four weeks that he has been on the Freeze-dried meat, he has shown remarkable progress. No more ribs, or coyote look to him even though he is exercised with extensive swims of over 800 yards and long land runs on Triple and quadruple marks. Currently my bitch is on 3 cups of Eagle Brand Rice & Lamb Special and 2 AFS Meat Patties as she hopefully is with puppies. My male is only getting one AFS Freeze dried patty with four cups of Purina ProPlan Hi Performance and I intend to have the Pro increase his AFS Patty portion. Both of my dogs are high profile in the UKC HRC Program and will be featured on a TV series here in the near future on an outdoor show... Steven Kendall
