...Last November, some girls showed up at the store with four half dead kittens they found in a box along the hiway.  They were skin and bones--so emaciated they couldn't even cry.  Their first meal was, of course, an AFS patty... 

Anyway, we placed three in good homes and kept the one our daughter picked out.  "Tiger" has been fed a steady meat diet, morning and evening (with IAMS kitten kibble during the day).

We took him in at four months old for a Vet checkup and shots.  The Vet insisted this was a 6 month old kitten (at 6 lbs)...her argument being, "Average kittens gain about a pound a month."  she was very surprised when she checked the teeth.  "This can't be right," she said.  "These are all baby teeth, what's going on here?"  My daughter explained the diet Tiger had been on, and the fact that we have given no shots, no worming, and just meat.

This Vet is sold.  She wants more info.  Tiger is eating about 4-6% of body weight per day, and is very slick and smooth and very active.  The cat stays at the store with us, and people are constantly commentng on how good he looks.  They can't believe it.  We can, because we know!
