I am thrilled to win this!! I am sure Shiloh will be too!

I am always searching for good food for my Shepherd Girl - and that means no artificial stuff!!  I now buy off the web because that is where I find the best for her.

My Shepherd Girl is my absolute BEST friend. I have raised her since she was 7 weeks old (now 2 years old), and she is my third Shepherd - yes, I am a devoted Shepherd person!  LOL

We communicate and interact like any two members of a family. In fact, she thinks she is a person!  On one vet visit, I sat in one chair, while my husband sat in another two seats down. Shiloh took the middle chair! You should have seen the looks! But that is how she is, always close to us, and doing as we do.

"Shiloh"
aka:
"My Shepherd Girl"

Such a sweetie! She has the sweetest and most loving disposition and is just the best dog in the whole world.

Thank you again, and I look forward to receiving the win :)

Thankyou so much for the recent prize I won on your website!  At BlackStar we
rely very heavily on the quality of meat and foods that our dogs eat.

BlackStar is made up of working and showing and breeding dogs so you can
probably guess that we cannot and will not allow unnatural products into our
house.

Despite the fact that we consume an enormous amount of chicken here,
the beef is always the favorite of all the dogs!!

Forty weeks a year a BlackStar dog is on the show circuit. It can be
stressful and grueling to keep in coat and stay in perfect condition. We rely
on products such as yours to supplement the food; the red meat keeps a lot of lean muscle mass on our dobes, saints, and bernese mountain dogs and the extra protein keeps them in perfect show coat even in times of stress and heat.

For our rescue dogs the frozen patties are often the first time they have ever even had a treat and their look of satisfaction says it all!

"Shelby"

I so look forward to sharing AFS's freeze dried patties with all of our "kids" and especially look forward to trying them with the puppies.

Sincerely,
---Lisa

The two of us (Jerry & Alice) have been raising Afghan Hounds for about 12 years.  We strive to breed the complete afghan hound.  One that is not only beautiful, but athletic ... and mischievous.

We have raised dogs that have gone on to finish their AKC championships, win 'Best In Show' awards, lure coursing titles, and we also bred the very first
Afghan Hound to be registered in the National Flyball Association; and win several Flyball titles.

Ch. Elmo's Fellini of Cheri-A, better known to us around here as "Rico."  He was our first 'specials' dog, which means he was a finished champion when we got him and we showed him in the Best Of Breed class.  He was always ranked in the top 20 of all afghan hounds during the 4 years we specialed him.

Rico has been bred several times and as of Spring of 2002 he has produced
over 30 champions.  He passes on, not only wonderful conformation, but great personalities.  All of his kids love people, love to play, and are sweet and willing to please, making them ideal family dogs.  Oh yes... they also LOVE cookies!!!

He has also always been our primary house dog and my husband's best friend.  Our  daughter calls Rico her 'little brother', and that is about where he fits in.

Thank you for picking me!

I am so happy I won your pet patties!

Thank you again for picking me as your winner! I really never win anything so this was such a big suprise to me!

I have 5 children and  5 Yorkshire Terriers, each child has a dog of there own.

There is 1 male and 4 females who are such picky eaters, they just don't like dry dog food or canned (I have tried most of them), so I am really excited to try your product to see if they like it.

I have tried everything else to get them to eat (I have to put lunch meat in there food!) so I really think they're going to love your real meat products. If this works I will be getting all my dog products from you!

They are like are children to me and would like for them to enjoy the food I give them, but prefer it to be nutritious and healthy for them.

They are the nicest looking Yorkshire Terriers you'll ever see and they have the cutest personalities!  Their ages range between 4 months and 7 months.

Have a great day I know I will now!

 Abquisto Australian Shepherds

My kennel, ABQUISTO (Ab-Key-Stow) is located in the Beautiful Rogue River Valley of Oregon, in the great Pacific Northwest of the United States. We live very rural and have lots of wildlife as neighbors, which can be scary at times.

www.abquisto.com

In 1996, I  became a Australian Shepherd Club of America sanctioned Breeder Judge of Conformation.

Although I have been happy with the food I have been feeding my dogs for the last 12 years, after seeing the AFS Web Site, I feel maybe there should be a change in feeding regimen at my Kennel.

The fact that I have won this contest as a "re-draw winner" (original winner did not respond) for February 2002, gives me the perfect opportunity to give what sounds like a very nutrious food a try. It makes more sense to me than the BARF diet.

I have bred Australian Shepherd dogs, since 1984, for Soundness of Mind and Body.  Striving to Preserve the Versatility of the Breed, they are all-around good family companions whether they're bred for Show(AKC & ASCA Champions), Obedience Dogs (OTCHs), Agility Dogs ( We're almost to a NATCH), and Working Stock Trial Dogs (WTCHs).  We have produced dogs with titles in every area of competition (except tracking).  Many are even competing overseas.

From what I see, AFS products are actually detrimental to the pets health and well being!

I am very excited to try your product.  I have two dogs named "Spirit" and "Shaman" who are pretty much mine and my wife's children!  So, needless to say, we spoil them rotten!

Your freeze dried treats look to be the perfect reward for the rare times our dogs act good.

When I received your email saying I had won your contest I called my wife and she said,"Finally were going to get something useful out of the internet!"

This is the first thing I have ever won online.  Thanks again and I'll let you know how Shaman and Spirit like your treats.

---Paul

Letter #2: We received your treats last week and "Spirit" (grey) and "Shaman" (tan) absolutely LOVE them!  They don't gulp them down like other treats but actually take time to chew and enjoy them ... How do I get more of them?

Thanks again,
---Paul

My two dogs... Top photo is my new Border Collie (as a puppy) named "Gracie".  She is a canine companion and acts as a hearing dog as well.  She loves to tell us when the phone rings, if the weather alarm goes off, if the tea kettle sings, etc.  She is just starting to show her instinct for herding our sheep.

Our "Maggie" is a Chocolate Laborador.  She is very curious and is checking out a Praying Mantis in this photo.  Maggie also herds sheep; she learned this from our previous Border Collie, and does very well at the job.

Both maggie and Gracie love kids and other dogs.  maggie got to go to obedience class (which she always loved) as a refresher while Gracie attended her new classes.

I am very happy that I'm (for Jessie) one of the November 2001 Winners.

Jessie came into our lives seven years ago.  When we first met her...she was a member of a training school for animal care professionals... The school was closing that year.

Telephone calls were made and a 1400 km drive later, we introduced Jessie to her new home.

She has her own big basket in front of our bed, the run of the house and garden.  She is kind, gentle and loves to travel in the car.

Sarah is a 'pure black Alley Rabbit', adopted by Sally in 1998 from the Milwaukee Humane Society.

Sally gives Sarah lots of love and attention, but the toy mice seem to be Sarah's favorite.  Thus, Sally keeps toy mice in her pockets to toss to Sarah, as a distraction, upon leaving for work--A few have fallen from her pockets on odd occasions, thus, freaking out friends and colleagues!

My husband and I had been married a year and a half before we finally decided to adopt a dog and make our new house a home.  We knew that getting a dog meant saving a dog, so I made several trips to our local SPCA and county animal shelter.  After nearly three months of an exhaustive search and nearing total discourage- ment, our new dog found me!

My husband rushed to meet me and the pup before closing time.  The pup did the same thing with my husband as he did with me.  He did not bark or compete with the other doggies in the kennels, he simply sat in the middle of his cage as if he was totally sure of himself.  And it worked!

<PHOTO Coming>

"Dio"

He knew who he wanted and he waited for us to receive his message.

Nearly two years later, we still live happily in our marriage, in our not so new home and with our beloved dog.  We found him in a cage marked "D10", so we named him "Dio".  Catchy?  Yes.  Unique?  Yes.  but, did you know that it means "God"?!!!

My kids received a pure bred Golden Retriever for Christmas 2000.  "Buzz Lightyear" was the name given to him by my 3-year old.

Buzz has really grown up.  At birth he weighed a mere three pounds, today, however, he tops the scales at 82 pounds.  We hope he has stopped growing.

The Golden Retriever in him comes out every time we play.  He has gotten fetch and sit, but we can not get him to bring it back.  He just seems to keep going and going!

"Buzz Lightyear"

We know he is going to love his AFS Real Meat Diets.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for the wonderful news!  Sunshine just can't wait!

Her dad is some type of hunting dog and her mom is a pure Chow.  She has a purple tongue and her coat changes with the seasons (like her mom).

She is loving-- sometimes a little too much!  Ever try sleeping with a 70 pound dog in your bed?  What makes it worse is she growls at me when I tell her to move!  I think she thinks she's doing me a favor!

Sunshine is very smart, child-like, nosy, and likes to sneak things.

I believe she would make a great service dog.  Whenever my teens and I have a "disagreement", she is right there, visibly not happy when people act angry.  She is like their second mom, and mine too sometimes!

"Sunshine"

She sits in an upholstered chair by the front window, leans forward with her paws curled around the top, like a real person!

Sunshine is awfully special to us.  We love her lots and lots!

As I write this, I am actually celebrating my Bichon Frise dog's 4th birthday!  Pierre is a charming, fluffy white Bichon Frise who I've had since he was six weeks old.

He is large for the Bichon breed and is extremely spoiled....too spoiled.  Pierre is an "only child" and thus has become extremely attached to my husband and I who treat him like a baby.  He is very protective of us and actually is not very friendly to strangers, despite the breeds' happy and bubbly personality.

Pierre has the cutest trick that he started doing when he was still a puppy.  If you hold him and tell him to "go swimming", he will start paddling with his front paws.  He also will "swim" when he is excited, happy, or content.  A little quirk that Pierre has is his need to be put to bed every night.  He will bug my husband and I at night until we ask him "time for bed?"  He will then bark excitedly, run in circles, and go to the bedroom where his cage is located, open the door (yes, he will use his paw to grasp the metal cage door if it is not locked and pull it open), crawl inside, then paw at the door to verify that we locked him in.

Pierre is one kooky dog, and we appreciate the chance to show him off!

"Pierre"

Pierre loves to eat and was extremely excited to be a monthly winner!  He receives lots of treats and goodies, so it will be fun to let him try out the freeze-dried fresh meat patties.

Thank you for your contest.  Pierre looks forward to trying out your products.

Sincerely,
Pierre, Emily, and Vince
